Finance and Investment Committee--The role of the Finance and Investment Committee is to provide oversight and guidance to the Board of Directors with respect to the critical key components of fiscal reporting and management in the operation of For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. The three key components of fiscal oversight are: investment management and budget planning and evaluation. The Committee also reviews the long-term financial plan of the organization as it relates to cash position and development opportunities.Audit Committee--The role of the Audit Committee is to review all items related to the audit including appropriate allocations and compliance with mandated 990 requirements. This committee will also be defacto members of the Finance and Investment Committee and will be involved in those outlined aspects above in addition to the audit function.Medical Advisory Committee--The Medical Advisory Committee oversees the planning and implementation of the Patient Program and Ancillary Support. They specifically form the internal and external program guidelines, review patient program expenditures with recommendations for resource efficiency, formulate processes for program operation to ensure a flow of donated accommodations. They also develop Ancillary Support services for Patients and surviving caregivers to ensure their involvement in the FPS Community. The committee reports patient statistics and program highlights to the Board of Directors monthly.Advancement Committee-- The purpose of the Advancement Committee is to ensure that For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation has (1) an effective development and donor relations program in place to maximize philanthropic support for the organization and (2) an effective marketing and communication program in place for proper mission awareness supporting the growth in building the nation’s first-of-its-kind cancer respite center that requires advancement to grow at all tiers and initiatives. The Advancement Committee will provide guidance, feedback, and support for how to grow in its varying advancement initiatives (i.e. capital, endowment, and operating).Executive Committee--This Committee meets to review major issues confronting For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. The Committee meets between scheduled board meetings and is given limited authority to act on the Board’s behalf as dictated by the organization’s Bylaws. The committee is compromised of the chair, co-chair, treasurer, secretary, and CEO.Building Committee-- The purpose of the Building Committee is to ensure the proper design, construction management and overall project management of Pete’s Dream. The committee, working with our general contractor, provides expertise, recommendations and project management experience to ensure the Pete’s Dream construction is being financially & operationally managed. The Committee works directly with Butz Family of Companies on a weekly basis to ensure that the vision for Pete’s Dream is being fulfilled.Technology Committee -- The Technology Committee will help to ensure FPS leverages technology strategically, efficiently, and responsibly to support its mission, enhance the family experience, strengthen operations, and enable sustainable growth. As the organization prepares to open Pete’s Dream, the committee will provide guidance and oversight to ensure our technology infrastructure evolves to support our growth.Ecumenical Council--The role of the Ecumenical Council is to address the needs of families facing cancer and the impact this journey has in three distinct components

1) general coping with disease in close proximity of time before/during and after respite, 2) end of life spiritual enrichment and 3) bereavement.

The committee has two distinct roles: to be a resource related to materials that could be provided to families and to be available personally for any personal outreach should this need arise.

Investigative Research--The Investigative Research Committee evaluates data from nominators, oncologists, caregivers, and patients, along with market and research opportunities, to guide future strategies. It identifies ways to strengthen data management and insights, refine marketing and market positioning, develop partnerships, and pursue responsible data-driven revenue opportunities. Its goal is to recommend priorities and next steps that position FPS for sustainable growth and expanded funding. Young Professional Society--A young professional engagement and giving society for ages 21–35, inspired by FPS founder Pete Bossow. Members commit to $10/month, with gifts restricted to funding Respite Experiences. The society provides opportunities for networking, professional development, volunteering, and deeper engagement with FPS.New York Council--This region educates New York and North Jersey Oncology Teams about the FPS nomination process and raises funds for the FPS mission.Other
